The Jammu and Kashmir Anti Corruption Bureau booked former Settlement Officer Jammu Saleem Mohammad and former Patwari of Bari Brahamana Atta Mohammad for illegal mutation of land worth crores of rupees in favour of six beneficiaries.
An FIR has been registered for illegal mutation under Section 121 of Land Revenue Act against the former Settlement Officer Jammu, Saleem Mohammad and Atta Mohammad, then Patwari (now retired) & the beneficiaries include property dealer Abdul Hamid, his wife Shabnam Kousar, daughter Arosa Choudhary, Sehaz Akhtar and Skikan Singh.In another case, registered in 2017, the then State Vigilance Organisation had booked Saleem Mohammad, the then Settlement Officer, Sher Singh, the then Girdawar Circle Katra and the then Patwari Settlement Kunddrorian (Katra).
The former officials in criminal conspiracy and connivance with private beneficiaries had allegedly abused their official position and illegally mutated land under Section 121 of Land Revenue Act at village Kunddrorian, during 2010 and evaded Stamp Duty worth crores of rupees.
